Shun tastes the new Elle Rosé 2025
Hello hello!
I’m sitting down today to taste our brand new 2025 Elle Rosé, and after having a little swirl and smell, I’m already excited; fresh raspberries, pink grapefruit and a kick of ginger, this is going to be good!
How to taste
Before I share my tasting note, I thought I might be helpful to tell you how I go about tasting and evaluating wine......
First I like to look the the colour in the glass, what does it tell me about the wine? Is it pink, white or red?
Then I give it a swirl and smell, and think about the aromas that are jumping out at me
- Finally, the taste - I like to take a sip and let it roll all over my tongue, and describe what I’m tasting.
Elle Rosé 2025 tasting note
‘Glorious in the glass, pale pink with a golden blush. Give it a smell and you'll get fresh raspberries, grapefruit, a little cream and a hint of pepper, it's fragrant and fun right from the start. On the palate it's dry, juicy and full of flavour, with a lovely silkiness and layers of berry, peach, citrus zest and a warm kick of ginger spice. It finishes clean and bright with a little tingle of acidity that keeps you coming back for more. Frankly, our best one yet. Crack it open with seafood, share it with friends, or just enjoy it wherever the good times are’
